I've been shopping at Bob's since they were on Capitol in the 1970s and for good reasons. First off, they always have used gear that they take the time to set up properly so if you're looking for a used guitar or some used speakers, you're set and don't have to be limited to the junk most stores pass off as 'gently used'. Second, they stock enough new stuff from several makers (and not just the mega-brands) that you can get a really broad range of prices and build quality, though Bob's doesn't sell toys called 'guitars' like WallyWorld & other department stores trying to do it all for everyone. Their stuff is all good stuff, you can buy a guitar for $250 or $2500 - your choice. Again, it'll be set up right here as opposed to the big chains where they merely take things out of the box and slap a sticker on it. Thirdly, the staff at Bobs are all pro players and know what it's like to get burned themselves by 'salesmen' who don't know what they're selling. They won't pressure you into more than you can handle or need just because it's shiney or has a high profit margin. This might be contrary to a slightly higher bottom line on each sale, but this place has been a family owned business for decades and hasn't gone under for plenty of good reasons.

Virtually all the Milwaukee area professionals shop here and lots of national touring acts stop by when passing through town. Expect it to look like a mess when you go in, it's more of a clearing house or a warehouse that sells for music gear than a mall store. That means better gear in your hands for less money and I'm all about that. They'll also order something if they don't have it in the store and prices are usually flexible on everything in the place if you're buying in bulk (like most pros do). Great Prices, Great Service

I had to order a bunch of stereo equipment for my bar. I did a lot of research and found some good prices, but they were from mail order places I found online. A friend of mine suggested checking with Uncle Bob's before I ordered, I had never been there before. Their prices were lower than anything I could find online! They are very easy to deal with. When one of the pieces didn't work (no fault of theirs) they gladly exchanged it for another piece of the same type. I had to leave some of the equipment there for a while, that was no problem. They actually seem to really appreciate the fact that I did business with them, which is pretty rare these days! I would highly recommend doing business with them!

Great service and knowledge

I bought my sound system over a short period of time, everything had to be ordered, and I must say the service and promptness of my orders was crisp. The team at UNCLE BOB'S is outstanding. would recommend these guys anytime.

Great service and wide variety of what ever it takes to be a musician A-Z. If they don't have it they can get it.
