We were pleasantly surprised by Yokoso! The food was very good, and high quality. The decor was nicer than two places I've visited downtown (that were more-highly recommended.) Initially, I was concerned after seeing its location in a strip-mall in Brookfield. However, it's nice inside, service was great, and food was high quality, especially considering the price! I'll totally go back. If you're outside of downtown, and want good Japanese, it's a much better bet than driving into town. You'll save money, have equal or better food, and better ambiance. But, please note this is relative: You're not going to find the ultra-chic quality experience like NYC, San Fran, etc. But, food and ambiance are as good as I've found in many large cities, and the price is half of what you'd pay there. And, it far exceeds suburban standards, and I think it's better than the places downtown.
Pros: Relative to other Japanese restaurants in downtown, ambiance, flavor, value, and service are often better.
Cons: It's the suburbs, and the strip-mall is a bit scary
