This is a wonderful little "hole-in-the-wall" on the South Side that you might miss but for the 99 cent taco sign on the corner in front. In addition, Monday through Friday from 3 p.m. to 6 p.m. there are half price (or $3? I forget) Peach Margaritas. The food is excellent and authentic, the staff is kind, and the atmosphere is warm and inviting. Try the jukebox if you're into ranchera. I recommend the tacos al pastor "mexican style." Leave the tomatos and lettuce to the gringos.

• Cons: Not for the faint of heart, or chain restaurant regulars.
