Be Prepared to Wait!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! by Alex G. at InsiderPages
Contributor at Insider Pages
I have heard good things about this joint, so I thought I would try it out. It was a Friday night and the receptionist told me the wait would be 45 minutes. That was fine with me considering it was a very busy night for them. Once an hour passed, I grew a little upset. I went back up to the receptionist and asked her again, how much longer would I have to wait. She replied 10 more minutes. Then again 10 minutes passes. I asked again 15 more minutes. 15 passed. Then again 10 more she said. 10 passed. By now you get the hang of it. The receptionist lied!!!! By the time this process was over, I waited 2 long hours. The food was nothing to brag about. However, the cheesecake was OK. Even though the 1st. 2 types I wanted they were out of. Then I asked for Carrot Cake. It was to hard and frozen to cut through though. Then I ended up with something else. (Just give me a piece of the darn cake!! I don't care how it looks!) The receptionist lied to me, I waited 2 hours and the 3 types of cheesecake I wanted, they didn't have. (I was upset)!Overall, don't go there on a Friday night. Be assertive about the waiting time and don't count on them to have your top 3 favorite cheesecakes!
Appetizers? Entrees? All food arrives at same time.
by SusanDB at Citysearch
First time: ordered an appetizer and entree. Appetizer arrived AFTER the entree. I sent it back.
Second time: ordered an appetizer and entree. Appetizer arrived seconds before the entree.
Service here? Hash house level.
- Pros: Generally good tasting food - at a price.
- Cons: Service that reminds of a drive-through
Decadent cheesecakes and classic American cuisine makes this a popular chain.
by Allison Austin at Citysearch
In Short
Faux-rustic finishes and colorful light fixtures abound at this almost always crowded chain. The thick-as-a-book menu features Americanized versions of worldly cuisines--Mexican, Vietnamese, Italian, Thai--but succeeds best with American classics. Burgers are a good choice, especially the ""Roadside Sliders,"" mini burgers served as appetizers. The myriad cheesecakes are over-the-top in concept and decadence. You'll leave full, with leftovers.
